Lasertex is Macsa ID’s laser system for applying finishing effects, cutting and marking textiles
MACSA ID has confirmed that it will be attending two of the biggest events in the textile industry, the ITMA 2015 Show in Milan and Denim Première Vision in Barcelona.
At both events, MACSA ID will be presenting its Lasertex system, which allows a wide range of finishes such as stone-wash, fraying, rips, the used look or the “back knee” effect to be applied to denim, leather and a wide range of fabrics.
Lasertex, is a reliable, robust and durable solution with a proven track record for highly complex designs and high-resolution images. It also ensures increased productivity, reaching levels that are unthinkable with traditional wearing systems, making it possible for a single operator to mark up to 200 units per hour.
Unlike conventional finishing methods such as sandblasting or dry ice blasting, using the laser means that no solvents, chemicals or abrasives are used. This is a more productive and efficient solution, as well as being sustainable and protecting the environment.
Notably, the treatment applied to the fabric does not affect its strength, because the laser acts as a heat source that evaporates the indigo dye used in denim. It is a sublimation process and fumes are efficiently collected through an extraction system.
